Deep Muscle Stimulator

I use the DMS for my patients because releasing stiffness, tension or spasm in muscles can help the adjustment be even more effective.

It’s a key in the art of pain relief.  The DMS works at the cellular level, and helps to speed healing. It’s intense percussion penetrates deep into soft tissue, making it optimal for wound healing and treatment of chronic and acute pain, soft tissue and repetitive strain injuries, as well as neurological conditions.

The Webster Technique: A Technique for Pregnant Women

DamienNobleAndrews-2_0758(d).jpg

I have had great success using the Webster Technique with my pregnant patients.  Why? Because, it works. When life stressors take place on the spine the mother often feels increased symptoms during pregnancy. The added weight of the baby causes physical stress on the body, and the hormonal changes make the joints more relaxed. This combination results in pain and discomfort.

What does this mean? The resulting tense muscles and ligaments may have an effect on the uterus and may prevent the baby from comfortably assuming the best possible position for birth.  Not only does sacral subluxation/misalignment cause imbalance in the muscles and ligaments, it can also contribute to dystocia (difficult labor).

"The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ SI [(pelvic)] joint dysfunction." -Dr. Jeanne Ohm, D.C.

I believe and support this statement because when these areas are in alignment both pain reduction and a vaginal non-medicated birth are highly attainable.

DamienNobleAndrews-7_0876.jpg

I use safe and effective ways to adjust both babies and infants.

Their future is in your hands. Give your baby the best possible chance to have a healthy life.

When Does a Baby Need A Chiropractic Check-up?

• After the birth process
• If baby has a tendency to nurse on one side
• When the baby starts to hold his/head up.
• When the baby sits up
• When the baby starts to crawl
• When the baby starts to stand
• When the baby starts to walk

These are great examples of times when chiropractic examinations are especially important according to chiropractic pediatric specialist Larry Webster, DC.

Chiropractic brings out the best in kids

DamienNobleAndrews-4_0843.jpg

Having kids around the office brightens my day!

All children deserve the great advantage of safer, more natural, drug-free chiropractic healthcare.

I use safe and effective methods to adjust children of all ages. They come in with bumps and bruises or ear infections and colds. I adjust with a goal of removing the misalignments/subluxations in their spine, so that their precious bodies can heal themselves.

Chiropractic, by releasing stress on their little bodies can benefit all children, especially those suffering from neurological disorders.

Diversified Chiropractic Techniques

DamienNobleAndrews-12_1069.jpg

Many patients assume that the adjustment/manipulation must be a high-velocity, low-amplitude (HVLA) thrust that makes a captivation (pop) sound. Although, this is my favorite type of adjustment that isn’t the case for some of my patients.  That is why there are many alternative options. I use tools like the Activator, SOT blocks, and the drop table to restore proper motion back into the joints and get my patients back to optimal health. I call these tools low-force techniques and I use them on a daily basis with many of patients because they are very effective while very gentle.

Extremity Adjustments

DamienNobleAndrews-5_0865.jpg

Yes, it’s true. I can help you with areas of your body besides your back and neck. An extremity adjustment, also known as extremity manipulation, is the art of manipulating the joint of an extremity to instill motion within the joint. The shoulder and hip joints are the most commonly adjusted in my practice. However, wherever there is improper motion or pain and suffering I will assess that region and do my utomost best to rid of the pain or condition.

Benefits to IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft-Tissue Mobilization)

DamienNobleAndrews-11_1064.jpg

I use this tool daily in my practice to effectively break down fascial restrictions and scar tissue. Scar tissue can restrict your range of motion, create pain and disrupt normal muscle function ultimately resulting in weakness.

As an extension of my fingers, I am able to locate restrictions and treat the affected area with the right amount of pressure.  Other benefits to this manual therapy are but not limited to increased healing time and flexibility, as well as improved function and balance.

Rehabilitation Exercises for Improved Posture

DamienNobleAndrews-8_0925.jpg

Posture is very fascinating because it’s the connection between structure and function. In my experience, chronic strains and injuries are usually caused from incorrect posture and faulty movement patterns. During our time together, I will teach you proper form and control of your muscles that need to be addressed to promote healing time and decrease the chance of your condition form reoccurring.

3 Reasons why GOOD POSTURE is worth paying attention to:

1.  It helps your body function at top speed.
2.  It promotes movement efficiency and endurance and contributes to an overall feeling of well-being.
3.  Good posture is also a good prevention to a cascade of health conditions or diseases.

As a doctor of chiropractic, I believe the adjustment is one of the most powerful and effective passive treatments for musculoskeletal conditions. With that said I’ve seen patients return with similar symptoms and patterns of asymmetry and for this reason rehabilitation exercises are key.
